Crabs are Pre-Hardmode enemies that spawn in the Ocean biome. They can survive both on land and in the ocean, and this has no effect on their behaviour. Crabs are quite weak and are thus quite easy to take out.

- Crabs appear to be brownish underground.
- Crabs are very light creatures and suffer from considerable knockback. This can make fighting them irritating, as players have to continually run after them.
- Crabs can also be spawned using a crab statue.
